About Us

The Mission

The first thing you should know about Tainted Media is that we love Comic books, the founders of the site are ALL huge comic book fans and have been for years. We founded this website with the sole intention of innovation via illustrated media(comic books, graphic novels). We simply wanted to enhance the experience with unconventional animation, multimedia, and 3D mixed in. We believe that the comic book market has been slow to evolve, invest in, and take advantage of new technologies nameley the PC and internet. Our founders, after seeing the sluggishness of the industry invested the time and funding necessary to experiment with comic books and the internet marketplace. The result of our efforts thus far is TaintedMedia.com. It is our hope that people embrace this new technology or at least are inspired to be creative themeselves.

The Comic books

Due the expense of creating content for our format, we are starting with a rather stream lined lineup (one comic book title). With the hopeful success of our initial offering, we intend to expand into the full gamut of comic book and graphic novel genres with familiar creators and perhaps even titles that our readers have read before but never seen like this. Our comic vision was concieved to be an enhancement of comic books, so we spent a tremendous amount of time trying to preserve the "comic bookness" of our comics, while balancing little enhancements. What that means is that rather than just packing a bunch of screens with sound and animation (animated cartoon), we created comicbooks with bits of sound, animation and a little 3D for fun. We hope our readers enjoy them. Taintedmedia.com is a subsidiary of right brain media.
